2015 World Series第5戦がCiti Field（New York）で11月1日（日曜日）行われ、Royalsが7-2でMetsを降し、対戦成績4勝1敗でシリーズ優勝した。Royalsは1985年以来30年ぶり2度目の優勝である。シリーズMVPはPerez（捕手）が獲得した。

ゲームはVolquez（Royals）とHarvey（Mets）の先発。この1戦で後が無いMetsは8回までMets2-0リードしたが、Royalsは9回Hosmerの適時2塁打をきっかけに追いつき、延長12回一挙5点で優勝を決めた。

勝敗を決めたのは9回のHosmerの2塁打だった。Mets先発Harveyは完封目前、この1発で交代し、この時点で1986年以来29年ぶりのMets優勝は遠のいたのである。

2015 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup Champion、US Womens National  Soccer Teamが10月27日ホワイトハウスを訪問し、Obama大統領の祝福を受けた。恒例の大統領ユニフォームはAbbey Wambach（FW: 35歳）とCarli Lloyd（MF: 32歳）がプレゼンターになった。WambachはUSチームの牽引役だったし、LloydはFinalの日本戦でハットトリックを演じているから、2人ともプレゼンター資格は十二分である。

大統領の背番号は通常「1」か「44」だが、今回は「44」番だった。Obamaは第44代大統領である。もちろんブランドはNikeだった。Bidenは背番号15番をもらっている。

アメリカの５つのMajor League ChampionとNCAAのNational Champion、National TeamのWorld Championは大統領面会特典を保有していて、優勝校はホワイトハウスで大統領の祝福を受けることができる。

2015 MLB World Series Game1は10月27日、New York Met @ Kansas City Royals（Kaufman Stadium（Kansas City, MO）でスタートした。Royalsは2年連続シリーズ進出で、去年はSF Giantsに敗れた。今年勝てば1985年以来30年ぶりの優勝である。いっぽうMetsは15年ぶりのシリーズ進出、1986年以来29年ぶりの優勝をかけて戦う。

ゲームは午後8時（ET）過ぎスタートした。Royalsは1回裏、先頭打者Alcides Escobarの左中間大飛球がランニングホームランとなって先制。その後は小刻みな追加点でMetsが8回4-3でリード。しかし土壇場の9回裏Royalsが同点に追い付き、延長戦に入った14回裏、Royalsのサヨナラ勝ちとなった。

これだけ長い試合時間は記録的だそうだが、第１戦からこれだけもつれて、その上Fox Sportsのトラブルで中継映像が中断してゲームも止まるというハプニングまであった。こんなに盛りだくさんのハプニングでは、Daniel Murphyの連続ホームラン記録がどうなるかの楽しみなど消し飛んでしまった。

第2戦は28日に行われ、7-1でRoyalsが2連勝した。第3戦は30日にCiti Field（New York）に移って行なわれる。

NBA Regular Seasonが10月27日スタートした。Tip-OffはDetroit Pistonsが敵地Philips Arena（Atlanta, GA）に乗り込んでAtlanta Hawksと対戦した。開幕日の27日はこの他にディフェンディングチャンピオンの Golden State WarriorsがNew Orleans Pelicansと対戦し、去年優勝を逃したCleveland CavaliersはChicago Bulls（@ United Center, Chicago, IL）と対戦した。

PistonsとHawksゲームは8:00 PM ETにスタートした。PistonsはAndre Drummond（18 pts）とKentavious Caldwell-Pope（21 pts）の活躍でHawksを106-94で降し、幸先良いスタートを切った。

CavaliersはChicagoに遠征してBullsの本拠地United Center（Chicago, IL）で対戦した。この夜はChicagoでの用務を終えたObama大統領がコートサイドシートで観戦し、大統領地元チームのBullsとしては負けられないゲームだった。幸いNikola Mirotic（19 pts）、Derrick Rose（18 pts）、Jimmy Butler（17 pts）トリオがリードして、Bulsが95-97でCavaliresを沈めた。CavsはLeBron（25pts）、Kevin Love（18pts）、Mo Williams（19pts）が善戦したが及ばなかった。

WarriorsはPelicansを本拠地Oracle Arena（Oakland, CA）に迎えて対戦し、111-95でPelicansに圧勝した。Stephen Curry（40pts）は初戦から全開だったが、Klay Thompson（9pts）、Harrison Barnes（8pts）は一桁得点に終わった。

2015 MLB Postseason のAmerican League Championship Series（ALCS）はRoyalsが4勝2敗でリーグ優勝を決めた。Kaufman Stadium（Kansas City, MO）で10月23日行われたGame 6で、Royalsは4-3でBlue Jaysを降し、リーグ2連覇を達成した。ゲームは3-3の同点で迎えた8回裏、RoyalsがHosmerのタイムリーで4-3と逆転して逃げ切った。

The Mets swept the Cubs NLCS to advance to the World Series 

2015 MLB Postseason は10月21日、National League Championship Series（NLCS）Game 4、American League Championship Series（ALCS）Game 5の2試合が行われた。

NLCSのNew York Mets @ Chicago Cubsは、Metsが８-3でCubsを降し、4連勝でリーグ優勝を決めた。Daniel Murphyは第4戦も8回にだめ押しの1発を打ち込み、6試合連続ホームラン記録を達成した。Murphyはpostseason打率.529、7本塁打、11打点でシリーズMVPを獲得した。

ALCS第5戦Kansas City Royals @ Toronto Blue Jaysは7-1で、Blue Jays がRoyals優勝にストップをかけた。第6戦は再び場所をKaufman Stadium（Kansas City, MO）に移して対戦する。

10月27日（火曜日）から始まるWorld SeriesはMetsとALCS勝者が対戦する。2015 All Star GameはALが勝っているので、第1、2戦はALCS勝者のホームスタジアムで開催される。

2015 MLB Postseason は10月20日、National League Championship Series（NLCS）Game 3、American League Championship Series（ALCS）Game 4の2試合が行われた。

NLCSのNew York Mets @ Chicago Cubsは、Metsが5-2でCubsを降し、3連勝した。Mets先発Jacob deGromは7回までで2本塁打を浴びたが7奪三振で要所を締めた。 Daniel Murphyは今日も3回にソロホーマーを放ち、5試合連続、postoseason通算6本となった。

Jacob DeGrom struck out seven, walked one and retired his final 11 batters against Cubs.

ALCSのKansas City Royals @ Toronto Blue Jaysは14-2で、RoyalsがBlue Jaysに大勝した。Royalsは強打のBlue Jaysを上回る破壊力でシリーズをリードしている。

両リーグとも21日（水曜日）にゲームを予定しているので、早ければ同日中にリーグ優勝が決まる可能性もある。
