Warriors take 1-0 advantage in the Western semifinals

Warriors played the Portland Trail Blazers at Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif.

NBA Playoffsは5月１日、第1ラウンドで残っていたEastern ConferenceのCharlotte x Miami、Indiana x Trontoの第7戦が行なわれ、MiamiとTrontoがいずれも4-3でSemifinals進出を決めた。これで東西カンファレンスのSemifinal進出8チームが出揃った。Eastern はPortland vs Golden State、Miami x Torontoのマッチアップ。WesternはAtlanta x Cleveland、Oklahoma City x San Antonioのマッチアップである。

5月1日にはWestern Semifinals 第1戦 Portland vs Golden StateのGame1が行なわれ、118-106でGSがPORを降し幸先良いスタートを切った。いっぽうEasternは5月2日にSemifinalsがスタートする。SemifinalsもFirst Roundと同じBest-of seven（4戦先勝制）フォーマットで行なわれる。
