Best PictureはThe Shape of Water（監督：Guillermo del Toro）、監督賞はGuillermo del Toro（作品：The Shape of Water）が受賞した。主演男優賞はGary Oldman（Darkest Hour）、主演女優賞はFrances McDormand（Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri）が受賞した。 作品賞はGolden GloveがThree Billboards だったが、OscarではThe Shape of Waterに変わった。
その他の受賞はBest Animated Feature FilmがCoco（監督：Lee Unkrich and Darla K. Anderson）、Best Foreign Language FilmはA Fantastic Woman（Spanish：監督：Sebastian Lelio）が受賞した。 助演男優賞はSam Rockwell（Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missour）、助演女優賞はAllison Janney（I,Tonya）が受賞した。
Nomineesは1月23日発表され、Multiple nominationsはThe Shape of Water（13部門）、Dunkirk（8部門）、Three Billboards Outside Ebbing , Missouri（7部門）がトップ3ノミニーだった。
The Shape of Waterは去年9月のVenice Film FestivalでGolden Lionを受賞しており、Golden GloveでThree Billboardsに作品賞は譲ったが、前評判の高い作品だった。
