Sam Smith win 4 Grammys at the 57th Annual Grammy

第57回グラミー賞授賞式がStaples Center（Los Angeles, CA）で2月26日（5:00-８:30 p.m. PST）開催された。General Field４部門の受賞者はRecord of the Year「Stay With Me」（Sam Smith）、Album of the Year「Morning Phase」（Beck）、Song of the Year「Stay With Me」（Sam Smith）、Best New Artist「Sam Smith」が受賞した。

Multi Wimnners, L-R, Rosanne Cash, Beck, Beyonce, Pharrell Williams

最多受賞はSam Smithの4部門で、主要3部門に加えてBest Pop Vocal Albumも獲得した。3部門受賞はBeyonce、Rosanne Cash、Pharrell Williamsの3人だった。CashはあのJohnny Cashの娘です。Best Album受賞のBeckは、Best Rock Albumも受賞した。

パフォーマンスは今年も豪華な顔ぶれだった。Nomineeの中からもBeyonce、Siam、 Sam Smith、Pharrell Williams、Beck、Sia達がステージに上がった。

ヴェテラン勢のPaul McCartney、Tony Bennett、Madonna、Mary J. Blige、Gwen Stefaniも登場した。PaulやTonnyは別格として、ヴェテランのレディー2人はいまや懐かしい顔ぶれになりつつある。ベテラン女性ではAnnie Lennoxも登場した。LennoxはEurythmicsで世界的なヒット曲Sweet Dreams（1983年）を生み出した歌手であるが、セレモニー出席者の大半は当時生まれていなかっただろう。

セレモニーはCBSが全米中継で放映した。
